Interested in a laser treatment with no downtime but with real results? In 30 minutes or less, ClearSilk reveals healthier skin that improves with each treatment.
Who is ClearSilk for?
ClearSilk is ideal for first-time laser patients and those who want to maintain a youthful appearance without the recovery time of an ablative resurfacing treatment.
How long is a ClearSilk treatment?
This will depend on the size of the area treated, but on average, a ClearSilk treatment can take less than 30 minutes, making it the perfect “lunchtime” treatment.
What types of skin conditions does ClearSilk treat?
ClearSilk addresses redness, flushing/blushing, fine lines, and overall skin revitalization on any complexion all year round. Many patients choose ClearSilk as a maintenance treatment for healthy skin or to help improve their complexion before a big event.
Does ClearSilk require a topical anesthetic?
No, ClearSilk does not require an anesthetic. It is a non-ablative and non-contact treatment. Patients generally regard ClearSilk as a gentle and relaxing treatment.
How many treatments should I recommend?
Generally, providers recommend ClearSilk in packages of 5-6 and perform treatments as often as every two weeks. Most patients return monthly or quarterly as part of a year-round treatment regimen.
Is there any downtime?
Patients love ClearSilk because there is no downtime, and they can immediately apply makeup afterward. Most patients remark that their skin glows and feels tighter immediately after treatment.
Is ClearSilk safe in summer?
Yes, the 1064 Nd:YAG laser wavelength can be used for all skin types (Fitzpatrick I-VI), all year round.
What to expect before treatment?
Before the treatment, you will be asked to remove your make-up or moisturizer and, in some cases, you may be asked to shave the area to be treated. You will not need gel, anesthetic cream or ice prior to treatment.
What to expect during treatment?
Patients often describe the treatment as relaxing and therapeutic. You will experience a gentle warming of your skin during the procedure as the laser handpiece is moved back and forth above your skin.
Your clinician will monitor your skin temperature but will also ask you for feedback on the temperature.
What to expect after treatment?
Skin may appear red and swollen and have a mild sunburn sensation. This is a normal reaction. It can last from a few hours to days after treatment. Applying a cold compress or ice pack will help minimize swelling. This is typically only needed within the first 12 hours after the treatment.
If desired, make-up may usually be applied immediately after the treatment.
If in the middle of a series of treatments, sun exposure should be avoided between treatments and a sunblock with a protection factor of 30+ should be used on a daily basis.
Subsequent treatments are based upon your clinician's recommendation and are typically 2-4 weeks apart.
ClearV
ClearV technology is the most precise method for effectively treating or eliminating facial spider veins, broken capillaries, vascular lesions, and other vascular skin concerns. Treatment gently eliminates the veins or capillaries from the upper layers of your skin. Unwanted vessels will be heated by the laser energy and become less noticeable.
ClearV can be very helpful in minimizing Rosacea concerns. Rosacea is a complicated skin condition with variable triggers. A board-certified dermatologist is essential for proper diagnosis and medical treatment. While the intensity of Rosacea can flare up or subside over time, eliminating troublesome facial veins, broken capillaries, and decreasing redness is very helpful and often desired.

What to expect before treatment?
Before the treatment, you will be asked to remove your make-up or moisturizer and, if needed, you will be asked to shave the areas to be treated. You will NOT need anesthetic cream or ice prior to the treatment.
What to expect during treatment?
- Laser energy will be delivered precisely to the area of your skin being treated. You may feel a brief warm or hot sensation as the laser pulses are absorbed by the unwanted vessels.
- There should be little to no discomfort, however it varies from patient to patient and depends on the treatment. Clear V has integrated cooling which will improve your experience. There should be no prolonged after treatment discomfort.
What to expect after treatment?
- Patient response can vary. Redness and swelling around the treated vessels are usually noted within a few minutes after the completion of the procedure and typically have a "cat scratch" like appearance. A sunburn sensation and a slight feeling of soreness in the areas treated are also normal and expected. These reactions tend to subside within 24-48 hours after the treatment.
- A cold compress or an ice pack can be used to provide comfort if the treated area is especially warm. This is typically only needed within the first 12 hours after the treatment. Discomfort is typically minimal but oral pain relievers, i.e. Tylenol or Advil, may be used. Avoid aspirin or aspirin containing products for two weeks after the treatment.
- Strictly avoid any sun exposure to the treated area for a minimum of 7 days after the procedures. The treated area is more prone to sunburn and pigmentation changes. Keep the area covered and use a sun block with a SPF of 30+ reapplying every two hours. Delayed blistering secondary to sun exposure has been noted up to 72 hours after treatment.
