A topical numbing cream is used to minimize pain and treatment of all areas is highly tolerable. Much less painful than conventional radio frequency devices. After your treatment, you may feel a sunburn-like sensation on your skin for a couple of days. The severity of redness, swelling, and skin tightness post-treatment depends on the sensitivity of your skin.

Pre-Treatment

Avoid direct sun exposure & tanning beds for 2 weeks prior to your appointment. The treatment is not specifically a sun sensitive treatment, but we will not treat "tanned" skin.
Avoid using self-tanners for 2 weeks prior to your appointment specifically in the area to be treated. If you have used self-tanner inside this 2-week time frame we ask you exfoliate the areas to ensure no remnants of the product are left in the area to be treated. Self tanner can compromise your treatment.
If you are using lightening/exfoliating products such as hydroquinone, glycolic acid, AHAs on the treated area(s) discontinue for at least 48 hours.
If you use any prescription or OTC retinol/tretinoin product or bleaching cream that contains those ingredients discontinue 1 week prior to treatment.
If you are prone to fever blisters, we suggest pretreating with an antiviral medication for 2 days after your treatment. We are happy to provide you with the prescription if you are a candidate.
For the best and safest results in your treatment area(s):
- Avoid neurotoxin treatment for 1 week before or after your procedure
- Avoid HA filler treatment for 2 weeks before or after your procedure
- Avoid thread lifting 6 weeks before or after your procedure
- Avoid exfoliation, microdermabrasion or lasers for 2-4 weeks (depending on type) before or after your procedure
It is best to avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to your treatment to minimize bruising.
It is best to stop NSAID type medications & herbal blood thinning medications (ASA, ibuprofen, Turmeric, etc.) 7 days prior to minimize bruising.
We always suggest hydrating as much as possible prior to any treatment. Eat a light snack if you are prone to feeling lightheaded.

Procedure day

Arrive free of all face and eye makeup, perfume, lotion, or deodorant in the treatment areas.
Disclose:
- Areas of dental crowns, caps, braces, or other metal dental implants may be more sensitive to the treatment. A gauze or a tongue depressor can be used to isolate the area and make the treatment more comfortable.
- All current medications including OTC products and all prescription medications including oral antibiotics, hormone replacement therapy, etc.

Post-Treatment

Immediately after your treatment, we will apply a complementary calming, anti-inflammatory Exosome serum. This helps the skin heal and greatly boosts collagen and elastin production for an excellent result.
We highly recommend Exo Balm cream to continue home exosome recovery treatment. Improves your result and minimizes the recovery period.
Only gentle skincare products should be used, and it is important to maintain optimal skin moisturization the first week after treatment.
Avoid the use of perfumes, lotions, and deodorants in the treated area for 72 hours
Avoid strenuous exercise, sweating, and excessive temperatures (sauna or hot yoga) for at least 48 hours.
Makeup can be applied 12 hours after treatment.
ALWAYS use a minimum of SPF 30 daily to protect your skin after treatment - fine to apply day 1 after treatment.
If treating the body, avoid tight, constricting clothes to allow your skin to cool and heal properly.
Strictly avoid direct sun exposure or using a tanning bed to the treated area for at least 2 weeks after your treatment
Mild to moderate swelling, redness, tingling or burning sensations are normal after treatment. A cool compress will help soothe. These symptoms resolve within 1 day typically, but depending on intensity of your treatment may last longer.
Tiny scabs (less than 1mm in diameter) may form 24-72 hours after treatment and may remain for several days. The scabs should not be touched or scratched (even if they itch) and should be allowed to shed naturally.
Patients with sebaceous skin or acne are more likely to develop pustules or folliculitis, which usually subsides within 2-3 days.
If pigmented lesions were treated, they will darken and then begin to lighten within 1-2 weeks.
If you are experiencing any symptoms outside of the "normal" range, (mentioned above), please call the office immediately so we can work to remedy any issues.
